Mentally, emotionally and socially, children of this age are very active, cannot concentrate on one thing for very long, and are 

curious about new ideas.
The key skills that need to be developed for 4-6 years old are:

 
BEGINNERS     * Develop Gross Basic Motor Skills * Body/Eye Coordination * Agility * Static Balance * Running, Jumping and 

                             Skipping * Twisting, Turning and Sliding * Throwing, Rolling and Catching balls with both hands * Hitting and 

                             Kicking large and light balls in a straight line * Handling different types of equipment * Developing Strength

The key skills that need to be developed for 6-8 years old are:


 

BEGINNERS      * Develop Gross Basic Motor Skills * Agility * Static and Dynamic Balance * Simple and more Complex Body/Eye 

                             Coordination and Speed * Strength using their own body weight * Flexibility * Running forward and backward, 
        
                             Jumping and Skipping * Twisting, Turning and Sliding * Throwing overhand, Catching with both hands, Hitting 

                             and Kicking * Handling different types of equipment  * Reaction and Tracking skills.

 
ADVANCED BEGINNERS 
              * Reinforce Gross Basic Motor Skills* Simple and more Complex Body/Eye Coordination

                                                          * On court movements and stroke  development  * Terminology will also be reinforced.
